I am interested in maple, oak and liquidamber, but I am open to anything. I am in a very small apartment with very little room. I will have to either claim some land at my parents home (if it will help develop better trees) or work with growing boxes. I would love to hear your opinion.

By the way, I am very new to bonsai and will eventually try my hand at pines of all types (I think this is your speciality??) I have time on my side (only 26) so if I should start some black pine (?) with an eye toward the future please guide me! I have some seeds that were given to me as a gift!

I am an open book and would love to learn from someone with so much experience.
