You should consider what you like about the tree already and what of it you want to keep. Next think about where pruning scars are going to be and whether or not that will affext your design. Then sketch a model of what you would like, your perfect vision for the tree. It is hard to style the tree if you don't know what you want it to look like. If you really want to start cutting though, I think it would be safe for you to start attacking all those upright branches and the bar branches
