Currency Conversion.

Gday all!

As of today (12 Oct), the exchange rate for USD - AUD is 1.3283, meaning that Aussies can spend up to $66.42 AUD. Folks from other countries can convert their currencies here.

Darrell - I don't know how your sales tax works, but I read the Rules as saying that the price limit is the TOTAL COST of the tree. Here we pay a GST which is basically 10% added onto everything, and this would be included in the $50 limit. As for 'Sale' trees, I'd be inclined to think that the original price would have no bearing - my tree last year was in the 'Cheap & Nasty' section of the nursery, and was marked down to $15 AUD. I believe that entry is limited to one (1) tree per entrant.

Good luck, and may the best tree win!

PS: Joanie - exactly what do you mean when you state that "Wire will be a big part of the contest..."? So some contestants used a lot of wire last time... I won't do that this time - don't wanna be held responsible for another international shortage of Bonsai wire.
