Thanks for your opinion.

I still maintain that a thread that contains nothing but links is quite different than a thread where someone posts a tree for public display. One begs for comments, the other does not, especially when there already was a separate thread created by a moderator for the discussion thereof. In fact, we are having this conversation in it now as it was moved from the original thread in order to keep it "clean."

The thread of Mike's was treated the exact same way, the conversations about Andy's words was moved to a separate thread also, I fail to see the difference you are trying to point out.
