The thread you are talking about was a display of yours that you posted on a public forum where you got upset because some of us actually critiqued it. It in fact, had everything to do with the thread.

No, actually the thread in question had to do with Mike Page, and the thread he started. The argueing had nothing to do with me. It had to do with Brian Bay asking questions about Andy's critique and why it was so arrogant and condescending. Your actions went on to back up Andy's chioce of words and more argueing ensued within what could have been a very nice thread. My suggestion on the whole matter was to take the off topic discussion out of the thread. I was told by others that this was a discussion forum and that this was discussion.
It seems now, there are some that wish to have their threads remain clean and unsoiled. Not crapped up with discussion that is offtopic. Wow, what a concept.
I went on to start a thread about maybe advocating starting discussion threads about possibly hot topics
here It was met with negativity. In fact the administrator went on to say

The "http://forum.bonsaitalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=85" forum was launched for the presentation and discussion of the formal display - not so much as a silent gallery.
We could create a silent gallery of formal displays in the Gallery, or a show thread as you've pointed out - we've done in the past, but this is perhaps not the best use of a discussion forum.

Matt

All I am saying is that each of us deserves the same respect as any other here. If I want to post and have a clean thread with all the things I find distasteful removed, so be it. Whats the difference if its a distasteful reply in one of the "All there is to know" threads or a distasteful reply in a wonderful presentation of a great display piece. I feel they deserve mutual respect.
We want the same thing. I just want it for everybody, not just some. For the record I have never complained about any critique of anything I have ever posted here. For that matter, Mike and I have probably posted the most bonsai for review here than any other contributer here. My work speaks for itself as does Mike's.
Thanks Al
