I've moved about half a dozen all about threads into the wiki and closed them.
From the wiki, anyone can add to them without necessarily creating new posts in the forum. Also dead links could be removed and discussion about those links can take place in the TALK tab behind the page.

Only a few of the link lists are currently moved, but you can see the general layout. I am not sure this is the PERFECT tool but it is certainly a better one. I am also having a look at some alternate link management software.
Feel free to continue with the existing 'All about' threads or create new ones in the meantime). The ones that have been moved can be maintained in wiki world.
