Ron would really like to keep out of this conversation. What I can't really understand is why my name comes up here so often and just why some get so riled when it does.
But I do keep coming up so FWIW here are my thoughts

As to the "All there is to know" threads they are not all that there is to know. Just a collection of web sites. Nothing more and nothing less.
Web sites can be put up by almost anyone with a computer. The only real knowledge that is needed is in how to run that computer. One has to realize what the web is and take it for just that. A loosely bound pile of information the is sometimes right but mostly a tinker toy.
No peer review, no editor, no proof reading leads to iffy information.
All there is to know starts with John Naka's books and goes on from there. Reputable people and known artists are the way to go.
Save the internet for when you are bored or can't go out and play with your trees. Then hit Goggle and pick your own web sites.
