Help - My 'lil juniper is dying..?
I made a little cascade juniper tree, and it has been doing very very well for the past 4 months. Today I was just inspecting my trees, and the junpier I have is seeming to feel dry to the touch, like it's on it's way to turning yellow. as I touched the buds, it was like pine needles flaking off, still green though.
I know I havent over-watered it, It has been under a sill, out on the patio, with lots of sun, and we've had lots of rain. I watered it very heavily today, hoping that the dryness of the tree was from lack of watering due to the sill (i laid off of watering for 2 weeks, cause the rain did it for me.) For soil I am using 1/3 pine bark, 1/3 gravel, 1/3 potting soil
My other juniper is doing fine. Still lush, and green and soft to the touch. so, the only thing I can think of is that the roof sill was preventing the rain from getting into my "now dry" tree.
Is there anything else that can cause this dryness? How will a junpier die (Chinese garden junpier) when it's over-watered? what are the symptoms?
here is my tree (in healthy state):
Thanks in advance guys.
