I had little to lose by rescuing a couple, one with no pot at all, but growing horizontally with a little new branch low down, and another with great movement, lots of branching and a pot in pieces. I did nothing to them but put them in pots with some of their soil, and a good dry mix that I made, and will try to keep them somewhat shaded for now. Is there any hope, or did I waste my time? Thanks.
