The one I saw could EAT flies....and small rodents. It was a Madagascar death tree, the kind that early explorers came home and wrote about. These Death Trees are known to have grasping tentacles that whip around their unsuspecting prey, dragging them into the unfeeling vortex of their
"throat" and then digesting them like Venus Fly Traps do. A litter of small bones lay around the nebari.

BTW, it was in a very nice pot. Perhaps a bit feminine, but that was apparently the intent of the artist.
