On my recent rock collecting excursion I picked up some slate in the size and thickness...or thinness rather for shohins.My question is does this broom or whatever type of style ok for slabbing?Also I am wondering how much bigger should the slab be than the tree.Should it be like with a pot where usally the leangth of a tree controls the pot sizes,or should a slab be alot wider that the height of a tree?Is their slab rules or a general guide for choosing a size?Thanks.
