Funny animals your Chinese Elm.

I left mine outside over winter and none of them dropped their leaves... even when the snow came in March. Then one of them dropped all his leaves and played dead for 4 months and now has all his leaves again. Another one just carried on and grew more leaves.

I have about 10 Cork Bark Chinese elms in the ground and they all lost their leaves before winter.

So dormancy and Chinese Elms is a bit of a hit and miss affair - I wouldn't worry about it when your tree looks healthy.

I wouldn't change your watering just because of a few yellow leaves - I find this perfectly normal.
