What a great looking tree!
I agree and before i read his post, i thought a flat clay tray would look best.
When i was more active, I always went straight to the castoffs and discount section of the nurserys.
by far the best spot to find deformed trunks and winterkill that has been left to grow on thier own. I have found many a tree that would be selling for 50-80% off the regular price. Sometimes free!
