As I finally registered today I might as well introduce myself. I currently reside in a small apartment in Spokane but am looking foreward to returning to my home of Seattle Wa. in a few months and immersing myself in whatever bonsai culture I find available.

My love of plants goes way back, but I am currently in possession of only three with nary a Bonsai among them. (the rest passed when my time went to a new marriage and the birth of a child.)

My interests and past practice of Japanese Martial arts, my love of anime, and my time spent as a dealer of asian art and antiquities has often exposed me to the art of bonsai from an outside perspective. Pets, a young child and college studies kept me from doing anything but enjoy from a distance. I've spent the last six months reading everything I could get my hands on locally, visiting a few shows and shops, and listening wherever I could find someone to talk. All preperation for the time when I will be in possession of some outside space to begin actual plant butchery. I've been haunting this and other sites for a time and decided that it seems a friendly and well informed place to continue my vicarious enjoyment of the hobby.
