I have been doing some reading and found out that it is possable to get cypress knees on a Bonsai. The trick is to keep the roots submerged in water constantly. That is why the Cypress near the Bayous have knees, because their roots are constantly under water. Notice you never see knees on cypress in someones yard.
I hope I cleared up some confusion.
