The juniper is 4 years old and came with fake cotton(?) moss around the tree, and then small stones for the last little bit of the soil covering. About 2 weeks ago I dug up some very nice short moss and replaced the fake stuff. Personally, I think it looks good...I'm just waiting on the moss to take and get a good covering (its in plastic wrap to create a moist environment for it). Its been so enjoyable that i decided to start another one! so well see where it goes from here.
