Dig yourself another 12-16 cypresses and make a grove.

This is a nice way to develop materials that aren't quite ready for bonsai, and also to learn something in the process. It's actually easier to make a passable forest out of imperfect material and a great way to start learning about bonsai, plus the larger container size that the forest/growing box has will increase the trees odds of survival with less-than-perfect care.
