Hello kapenaar,
On Monday this coming week, the 27th, I am recieving a variegated Ginkgo, which I plan to grow as a small normal tree in a pot. I shall use this tree for cuttings, from time to time. But, when it arrives I shall be repotting it immediately into 100% akadama, and leaf cutting I do all the growing period, removing all of the largest leaves ONLY, there are certain rules [if ya likes] for growing Ginkgos, but I'm still having trouble understanding them.
Pics are important to this site if you are requesting help, so please try to post some.
As to the Pyracantha, this I never do, tho' on certain forms of the species, I do remove just only the few of the largest leaves.
Your location is of uppermost importance also, the world is a large place and growing conditions vary greatly.
Regards....Nigel
