Satsuki
Here is a satsuki azalea that I bought 5-6 weeks ago. The variety is the ever-popular 'Unknown'. The tree is about 26" tall. The flowers are very small, 1¼-1½" across, some white, some dark pink, some lighter pink, and many are pink with varying stripes, etc. If any one has any ideas on the variety, I'd sure like to hear them. Three nights ago I picked spent flowers off for an hour, and covered the top of the tree. Two nights ago, same thing for another hour, and completed one side. Last night, another hour, completed the remaining side. I was curious last night, so I counted wilted flowers as I removed them. I reached 430. The tree must have had 1500 blooms, counting the ones that I had removed over the last couple of weeks prior to the last three nights.
Comments are always welcome,\
