23742 is in my opinion the best one. I like how the bonsai and accent are linked in color by the bonsai's pot and the accent's stand. The two items are spaced nicely and the overall effect is good.
Here comes the bad part...the other displays (accept the landscape) seem crowded.
The first picture (23740): The tree is too close to the scroll and as treebay said, the scroll is redundant when the accent is the same. Everything in this display is fighting for center spotlight. They need to compliment eachother and become a unit. Just my opinion, not based on any formal education.
The shohin display (23741): looks like a couple displays squeezed tightly together. Not good. Again it appears cluttered.
The Landscape (23743): In general I am not a fan of most landscapes...I rarely see one I like...so I don't have any thoughts on this one.
