It's kind of late in the year out here for repotting. You said you did no cutting, but I presume to go from the 5 gal nursery pot to the bonsai pot you removed a significant amount of roots?

These guys like their soil on the dry side. Only water when the soil starts to dry out. Other than that, barring an infestation of something, there's not much you can do. Put it in a shady spot, don't over water, and hope for the best. Poms are pretty tough.
