Well, I think that it was exactly where Matt wanted to go, I believe that repottin is not a desesperated move... It's necessary, since the rootball maybe is all bounded, and it's dying because of the lack of nutrients, what you need to do (if it's bounded) is to try (producing the least stress you can) to spread all the roots and prune them a little (in order to get them untangled, helping them to spread, and reducing the chance of getting them bounded soon) then place it in the pot again...

well, all this is only if the weather allows you to make it, I don't know much about that, since I live 15º over the equator
