Jay's point is a great one. I wanted to let folks know that the shohin pictures that are currently appearing in the upper left window were taken with a nikon 950 digital camera about 3 years ago. Indeed, most all of the bonsai photos in the TreeBay gallery were.

Cameras like it (mine's not for sale now) currently sell used on ebay for somewhere in the vicinity of $325 to $400. I even saw one with a "5 year warranty" that went for $482. The 950 can be considered obsolete now, because there are cameras with higher resolution and quicker shot-to-shot time, but for this kind of work, it's nearly perfect, although I'm sure it's replacement the 995 would be even better.

For photography, lighting is everything, but I just wanted folks to know that these cameras are very capable of excellent results.
